Ladybird School Shooting Academy (KIC) held its 7th Annual Shooting Championship 2023 at the 10m Air Rifle & Air Pistol Shooting Range, Ladybird School, Mokokchung on 31st October 2023.

Altogether 17 young shooters participated in 6 (six) categories in the 7th Annual Shooting Championship, viz; 10m air rifle bench rest men & women individual, 10m air rifle sub-youth men & women individual, 10m air pistol youth men individual and 10m air rifle youth men individual. All the winners were awarded with medals and certificate during the medal ceremony held on 1st November 2023.

The medal ceremony was graced with word of exhortation by Mr. Nathan Ozukum, President of Mokokchung Rifle Association. He appreciated Ladybird School for providing opportunities to promote the students in extra-curricular activities along with academic and congratulated the LBSSA for nurturing young shooters in Mokokchung district. He further encouraged the shooters to qualify in large numbers at the upcoming 11th North East Zone Shooting Championship 2024 and aim to qualify for the Los Angeles Summer Olympics 2028.

Mr. Lipokmeren, Coach & President Ladybird School Shooting Academy also felicitated the shooters from LBSSA who participated and won medals at the 8th Nagaland Shooting Championship 2023 and 10th North-East Zone Shooting Championship 2023. The coach also congratulated Imnanungsang Tzudir from LBSSA for qualifying for the 66th National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC) Pistol Events to be held at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh from 19th November 2023.
