The 8th Nagaland Shooting Championship 2023 was organised by Aries Rifle and Pistol Shooting Academy, Khelo India Centre, Dimapur and conducted by Nagaland Rifle Association at Aries Sports Complex Shooting Ranges, Bamunpukhuri-A, Dimapur from July 24 to 28.
Dimapur district was adjudged the Champion with 14 Gold, 13 Silver and 8 Bronze followed by Kohima 8 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze, Mokokchung 7 Gold, 6 Silver and 4 Bronze, Chümoukedima 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze, Peren 1 Bronze.
From Mokokchung District, altogether 17 shooters from Ladybird School Shooting Academy participated in the championship and bagged 17 medals at different categories. Seven shooters qualified for the 10th North East Zone Shooting Championship to be held in Shillong, Meghalaya from 20-27 August 2023.
