CULTURAL CUM PARENTS DAY

Ladybird School held the first ‘Cultural Cum Parents Day’ on 5th November, 2025 at the school campus under the theme ‘Connecting Family and Culture. This spectacular event was held with the sole purpose to celebrate school’s cultural heritage and to honor and engage parents.

Parents were appreciated and honoured on this day, celebrating the love, care and dedication that they bring to the school community. It was a day of acknowledging the incredible differences parents make in the lives of children and the school, for being a partner in shaping young minds and hearts. Exciting games and a lucky draw were special features of the program.

The cultural day celebration was a day showcasing the blend of cultures, traditions and heritage that make the school community so vibrant and unique. This celebration encouraged appreciation, respect and celebration of differences that make each one special. The cultural festivities invited everyone to experience the sights, sounds and rhythms of diverse culture of the school community. Talented performers from each tribe and community took the audience on a journey through traditional attire show, folk dance and songs embracing their roots.

The event’s proceedings were led by Mr. Meren and Ms. Ajung, assistant teachers of LBS. To praise God and invoke His presence, Mrs. Wabangjungla, Assistant teachers of LBS said the invocation prayer.

An introductory performance from the senior members of Taekwondo Club, LBS was performed, followed by another Taekwondo presentation and an Indian culture dance from classes II-V students.

Mr. Supongasang, member of School Managing Board shared an insightful thought on the topic ‘Cultural preservation and Parents Role. A short speech on the day’s theme left an impactful message from Mrs. Imnasangla, a parent and Assistant Professor, JMC.

The event was graced with an unforgettable performance from Ma’am Chubala Longchar, proprietor of Little Wings Pre-school. A special prayer for parents was pronounced by special invitee, Mrs K. Amongla.

To honor the special occasion of parents’ day, a poetic tribute was presented by Bendanglila of class X. Adding a touch of melody and harmony, a special number featured a captivating duet by Meyinaro and Imjungayu of class VIII.

Dr. Imchanaro, academic in-charge expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made the event possible and a success.
