Ladybird School, Mokokchung held the 2nd Music Education Workshop from 8 to 9 July 2025 in the school auditorium from Classes Nursery to X with the re-opening of school after the summer break. The workshop covered introduction to music theory, singing and vocal techniques, song writing and composing.

Mr. Meyalemba, co-founder of Cadence School of Music, Mokokchung, guided and shared valuable insights providing a fun and interactive introduction to music.

The participants comprised of three groups – Nursery to Class -I (G-A), Class II to IV (G-B) and Class V to X (G-C). The Music Club members of the school assisted Group- A which provided a platform to enhance their musical abilities. The club members taught basic vocal exercises and performed songs together. Students of Classes III to X were engaged in group activities and each group composed and presented two stanzas of the songs they composed from Bible Verse.

The music club members presented a musical piece and two songs that they have learned in the music class at the end of the workshop.

The music workshop thrived with learner’s appreciation for music. It was delivered successfully with students active participation and learning how to sing which is the key factor that fosters self-expression and develop social skills.
