The PTA meeting was held on 23rd April 2022 in the school auditorium where a total number of 125 parents/guardians attended the meeting. It was chaired by the Dr. Lanurenla, Chairman of the school managing board.
In this meeting, a presentation from the academic in-charge of the school covered on the following aspects: a) the school curriculum subjects taught, highlighting the discontinuation of Environmental Subject, b) on teaching methodology and general rules and information on the pattern of evaluation, and c) the most important aspect of education that is, involvement of parents in the upbringing of one’s children and how important it is to track the progress made by one’s child at school.
In Session- I, Rev. Dr. Temsu S, Managing Board Member of Ladybird School and the Pastor of Alempang Baptist Church, Mokokchung, highlighted about the Extra-curricular activities and its future prospects and enlightened the parents about the sports facilities and opportunities provided by the school at minimum cost. He stressed on the career opportunities available for students who aspire to excel in sports by availing the facilities provided in the school in sports like Cricket, Shooting & Taekwondo and how one can not only get name, fame but also a means for survival by excelling in sports with sheer determination, physical wellness, discipline and adequate time management between academic and extra-curricular activities.
In Session-II, Dr. Imsurenla, Vice-Principal, Mokokchung College of Teacher Education (MCTE), Yimyu oriented the parents on the topic – Parenting: Pre-school, Young Children & Adolescents. She appreciated importance given by the school to conduct frequent interactions between teachers and parents throughout the academic session every year and enlightened the parents as well as teachers through an activity about how children behave and learn at each growing stage.
