
A seminar on HIV/AIDS awareness was conducted on 3rd May organized by The Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS). Ms. Temsukala Assistant Teacher of Ladybird school educated students and participants about the causes, prevention, and impact of HIV/AIDS. The seminar also included creative segment like essay writing competition, to encourage expressive and reflective thinking on the issue. All together, 78 students and 3 teachers participated, out of which, 49 students competed in essay writing and 26 students participated in awareness seminar.
Objectives of the Seminar:
• To spread accurate information about HIV/AIDS.
• To create empathy for those living with the condition.
• To break myths and stigma surrounding the disease.
• To encourage creative expression through writing.
The HIV/AIDS awareness seminar the essay writing competition was a meaningful and a successful event. It helped students gain knowledge, show empathy, and creatively engage with an important social issue. Programs like this play a vital role in building a responsible and compassionate community.
