XI NORTH EAST ZONE SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP 2024

The XI NORTH EAST ZONE Shooting Championship 2024 in Small Bore Rifle & Pistol was organised by Aries Rifle & Pistol Shooting Academy, KIC, Dimapur and conducted by Nagaland Rifle Association under the aegis of National Rifle Association of India at Aries Sports Complex Shooting Ranges, Bamunpukuri – 1, Dimapur from 25th September to 1st October 2024. A total of 7 (seven) Shooters from Ladybird School Shooting Academy (LBSSA), KIC, Mokokchung, participated in 4 (four) different Individual Categories.

10m Rifle Women Individual:
Wapangnungla Longkumer: Scored 380 and bagged Silver Medal and Qualified for the National Shooting Championship Competition. She is recently working as an LDA cum Computer Assistant (School Education), SDEO, Dhansiripar.

10m Rifle Sub Youth Men Individual:
Sentilong Longkumer: Scored 373 and Qualified for National Shooting Championship Competition. He is a student of Ladybird School and currently studying in Class VIII.


10m Rifle Sub Youth Men Individual:
Rongsengangshi: Scored 368 and Qualified for National Shooting Championship Competition. He is a student of Ladybird School and currently studying in Class VII.


10m Rifle Sub Youth Women Individual:
Imdangjungla: Scored 363 and Qualified for National Shooting Championship Competition. She is a student of Ladybird School and currently studying in Class VIII.


10m Rifle Sub Youth Women Individual:
Imnasangla: Scored 367 and Qualified for National Shooting Championship Competition. She is an alumni of Ladybird School and she is currently studying in class XI (Arts) at Town Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung.

Mr Tiasunep ,Team Manager & Technical Assistant of Ladybird School Shooting Academy, accompanied the seven shooters to the XI North East Zone Shooting Championship, 2024. The team from Mokokchung achieved a successful record breaking performance with five shooters qualifying for the National Shooting Championship Competition 2024. The ISSF Judge & Coach and President of Nagaland Rifle Association, Mr Merang Jamir, also expressed his happiness on team LBSSA improvement & achievements and encouraged the coach and technical assistant of LBSSA to continue to guide with timely interventions in the training sessions so that the shooters will do better in the upcoming National Shooting Championship Competition.
