5 June 2024: World Environment Day was celebrated across the country on the theme – Land Restoration Desertification and Drought Resilience.

CLASS ROOM ACTIVITIES on Waste Management was conducted for classes I to X by Recycling old newspapers. The objective of the activity was to instill in the students to learn about waste management by recycling and reusing waste materials that can be reused for serving other purposes in our daily life instead of dumping them or burning. The lower classes also learned by doing about the importance of trees and how to take care of them through simple activities.

Three boys and three girls from class IX and X also participated in the Awareness Run conducted by the Mokokchung Forest Division in collaboration with the District Education Office, Mokokchung on the theme- Run for the Green Aspirants.

UNDER Bharat Scouts and Guides, Mokokchung Sir Imkongchiba, Scouts Master and Ms. Rongsenlemla, Guides Captain represented Ladybird School to participate in the World Environment Day program organized by the Mokokchung District Bharat Scouts and Guides at Deputy Commissioner Compound, Mokokchung. Activities included cleanliness and tree plantation drive.
